Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the physical shipping of goods from this facility and warehouse organization.
Major Duties:
Responsible for all daily duties prioritized by the Area Supervisor.
Ensure all UPS shipments are prepared daily.
Load and unload trucks.
Audit and sign off Bill of Ladings.
Assist in receiving procedures.
Prepare goods for shipment (e.g., crate, package, etc.).
Obtain freight quotes for LTL and Airfreight shipments and prepare Packing Slips and Bill of Ladings.
Maintain packing tools and supplies.
Ensure all shipments are executed per the scheduled shipment report.
Keep areas of responsibility organized and free of congestion.
Adhere to the location system for staged parts.
Kit parts.
Conduct cycle counts.
Maintain inventory accuracy and stock levels.
Assist QA with incoming inspection of parts when needed.
Work overtime as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Make local deliveries when needed.
Basic Skills:
Basic computer skills, ability to operate power tools (circular saw, nail gun), forklift, and good organizational skills.
Experience with SAP and freight programs is a plus.
Ability to read ID/OD micrometers, calibers, and tape measures (both American Standards and Metric).
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Relationship:
Daily interaction with Production, Spare Parts, Quality Control, and Materials teams.
