Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to operate sit-down and reach forklifts, pick customer orders, and support loading and unloading in our busy warehouse in Sunnyvale, TX.

You will enter orders into the Warehouse Management System, verify stock, place products on pallets, and move items to packing, shipping, or storage areas while following safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year distribution/warehouse experience.
• 6 months to 1 year sit-down forklift, reach truck, and OP experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good record keeping and listening skills.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to assemble customer orders from stock and palletize.
• Enter orders into Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Verify stock availability and audit orders for accuracy.
• Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas.
• Operate powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking.
• Open crates and inspect product; apply labels as per procedures.
• Move product into designated warehouse locations; ensure accuracy.
• Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping; label boxes.
• Load boxes into conveyor belt and verify orders for accuracy.
• Monitor equipment and follow standard operating and safety procedures.

Primary Objective:

Operates various powered industrial trucks to load and unload finished product in the shipping and receiving process.

Shift:

• 2nd: M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm

Equipment Knowledge:

• Sit-Down Forklift
• Stand-Up/Reach Forklift
• Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

Responsibilities:

Picking

• Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.

• Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)

• Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy

• Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas

Receiving

• Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking

• Opens crates and inspects product

• Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures

• Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location

Putaway

• Utilizespowered industrialequipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received

• Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves

• Ensures product is placed into accurate location

SPC Check/Pack Checking

• Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping

• Labels boxes with packing slip

• Loads boxes into conveyor belt

• Verifies orders for accuracy

General

• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor

• Follows standard operating and safety procedures

• Keeps area safe, clean, and organized

• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
• Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-downforklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
