Job summary

Brodart Co. in Williamsport, PA is seeking a full-time Laborer/Helper to move materials between production and shipping areas, pack materials for shipment, and maintain a clean, safe workspace in a production environment.

Under supervision, you will enter order data into SCS and Oracle, use forklift and pallet jacks, and be prepared for overtime during peak periods; 2+ years shipping/receiving experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years previous shipping and/or receiving experience or the skills of Material Handler II and demonstrated ability to perform at a high level of productivity in peak periods of operation.
• PC Proficiency and familiarity with Kewill Help desk procedures.
• Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel).
• Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions and prioritize work assignments; flexible to make appropriate decisions regarding safety in handling materials and responsive to changing work environments.
• Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack or other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Pack materials for shipment in appropriate containers, determining carton size based on order quantity to ensure product quality and minimize damage.
• Enter information into computer systems for order fulfillment in SCS and Oracle and processing of labels and stickers for foreign and/or special accounts.
• Perform other duties of equal or lesser classification as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain safe, clean and organized work areas, empty trash and sweep floors as needed.
• Cross training and substitution of tasks as required by supervision.
