Job summary

Jabil is opening a new 300,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Prince George, VA, to support the growing energy infrastructure industry. The Material Handler will manage receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to back production, using ERP systems, RF scanners, forklifts, and other equipment while maintaining safety and inventory accuracy.

Pay is hourly, with a schedule from 2:00pm to 10:30pm.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of warehouse/logistics/material handling experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems and RF scanners.
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience; certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming materials, verify quantities and documentation.
  • Store, stage, and issue materials to support production schedules.
  • Perform ERP transactions and RF scans for inventory control.
  • Transport materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ensure FIFO and traceability in inventory records.
  • Support cycle counts, stock audits, and line-side replenishment.
  • Maintain safe, organized warehouse and production support area.
  • Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures.

As a material handler, y ou'll help handle critical power management and control systems used in data centers, utilities, and industrial power applications. You'll join a fast-growing team in a modern facility where safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement are key. Pay: $22.00hourly

Schedule: 2:00pm - 10:30pm

Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, verifying, storing, and distributing materials to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy, timely material availability, and efficient material flow by utilizing ERP systems, RF scanners, forklifts, and other material handling equipment while adhering to safety, quality, and inventory control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the receipt of incoming materials, including unloading shipments, verifying quantities and documentation, and performing system transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Receive, store, stage, and issue materials to support production schedules and operational requirements.
  • Perform inventory and material transactions using ERP systems and RF scanning devices.
  • Transport materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment.
  • Verify material quantities, part numbers, and inventory accuracy prior to issuance.
  • Support line-side replenishment, inventory control, cycle counts, and stock audits.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with FIFO and traceability requirements.
  • Load, unload, and move materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse and production support environment.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, receiving, or material handling operations preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Proficiency using RF scanners and inventory management systems.
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience required; certification preferred.Strong organizational, inventory control, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The hourly pay range for this role is $14.86 - $26.73. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
