Job summary

Kadee Industries, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to receive, inspect, unload, and store materials on the production floor. You will move materials with overhead cranes and forklifts, ensuring lines and workstations stay stocked and organized.

You will participate in continuous training, help train new hires, and comply with safety rules. The role requires high school diploma and 1+ year material handling experience in steel or aluminum manufacturing preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: 1+ year material handling experience preferred in a steel/aluminum manufacturer.
• Skills: Read metric and standard tape measures; basic arithmetic; use hand/power tools; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Material handling: move materials using cranes/forklifts and keep lines and workstations stocked.
• Area maintenance: keep work areas clean and organized; dispose of scrap.
• Receiving and storage: receive/inspect/unload deliveries; use ERP.
• Inventory management: organize raw materials and inventory locations; stage material as needed.
• Stock replenishment: replenish stock materials during shift.
• Loading and shipping: load trucks; prepare shipments; label/bundle orders with zero defects.
• Safety and reporting: report quality issues/near misses; follow safety rules.
• Training: participate in training and train new hires; assist with cycle counts.
• Communication: work well with others and during shift changes; interact with truck drivers.
