Job summary

Westrock Coffee Company in Conway, AR is seeking a Material Handler to support Single Serve operations, move inventory, stage machines, and wrap finished goods for shipping.

The role reports to the Single Serve Supervisor and requires forklift certification, ability to follow schedules, and teamwork. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred. This position is on-site with regular safety procedures and GMP adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift/Motorized Pallet Jack certification or ability to become certified.
• Experience in manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to follow a schedule and verbal/written instructions.
• Team-oriented with good communication and listening skills.
• Strong math, reading, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret work orders and ensure correct materials and specs.
• Ensure machines staged with adequate materials to perform work orders.
• Assist in breaks and lunch coverage for Operations Support team.
• Execute material changeovers on select machines during shifts.
• Complete quality checks and paperwork accurately.
• Move raw materials to production and finished goods to shipping.
• Operate pallet jack safely; stack and wrap pallets.
• Clean work area, machines, and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE; adhere to GMP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Material Handler supports the Single Serve personnel and is responsible for several production-based duties including but not limited to; moving inventory (both raw and finished) in and out of the production area, staging machines with proper materials, and stacking and wrapping finished goods on pallets.

The Material Handler supports the Single Serve personnel and is responsible for several production-based duties including but not limited to; moving inventory (both raw and finished) in and out of the production area, staging machines with proper materials, and stacking and wrapping finished goods on pallets.

The Material Handler position reports to the Single Serve Supervisor. This position will receive daily supervision and instructions from the Single Serve Leadership Team.

Job Duties

• Accurately interpret work orders and other instructions to assure proper materials and specifications are being followed.
• Ensure that all machines are staged with adequate materials to perform necessary work orders.
• Assist in breaking out Operations Support team members during lunch and breaks.
• Execute material changeovers on select machines frequently throughout the shift
• Accurately complete all required quality checks and paperwork
• Move raw materials from the inventory area into the production area and finished material to shipping area for transport.
• Operate an electric or manual pallet jack in a safe and proficient manner.
• Stack finished goods cases onto pallets following the required pallet patterns.
• Stretch wrap and secure pallets for shipping.
• Clean work area, machines, and equipment in order to aid the operators
• Perform other duties as assigned by management; tasks are not exclusive or limited to duties specified on this list.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards, safety and GMP requirements.
• Follow all required work safety procedures to include wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Perform all duties and actions in a safe manner and continuously monitor areas to ensure that safety procedures are being followed.

• Previous experience in manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to follow a schedule, as well as verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate comfortably and work with co-workers in a team environment
• Ability to display sound logic and attention to details.
• Must demonstrate excellent listening skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
