Job summary

Apogee Architectural Metals, a segment of Apogee Enterprises, is seeking a Material Handler I to support the Materials team in inventory control and order fulfillment within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include cycle counting, using warehouse systems, reading blueprints and work instructions, data entry, and safe handling of materials. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with inventory handling and warehouse procedures preferred.
• Ability to read measurements and use basic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory with cycle counting and stock rotation.
• Use WMS to track and report inventory.
• Resolve discrepancies with basic problem-solving.
• Read and interpret work instructions; perform data entry.

Job Overview

Material Handler I assists in accurately handling inventory according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Materials team works together to receive, pick, pack, and ship product to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Ability to manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock rotation. Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory. Basic problem-solving skills for handling discrepancies in orders or inventory. Ability to read and interpret work instructions. Perform basic computer functions related to data entry. Strong organizational skills for efficient space utilization and inventory management. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely. Must be cross-trained and able to support all Material Handler I roles.

Essential Qualifications
