Summary: Transport materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas. Load and unload materials from vehicles, into vehicles, and into or out of containers. Handle materials in accordance with company standards to avoid damaging or soiling donations. Secure materials during transport. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Part-time positions may be available with some benefits.

Must pass background check.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Adhere to Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest directives, rules, policies, procedures, and organizational standards.
  • Load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site, performing duties such as sorting, storing, and processing donations according to standards.
  • Transport merchandise to appropriate areas, such as stores or storage areas.
  • Follow work orders or oral instructions to move materials or containers.
  • Safely load and unload materials onto or from pallets, carts, totes, trays, racks, and shelves using manual or mechanical assistance.
  • Transport materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other devices, ensuring safety and organization.
  • Sort and stack donations carefully to prevent damage, keeping multi-part items together.
  • Separate donations by category when unloading trucks, maintaining organization and safety.
  • Lift heavy objects manually or with assistance and equipment.
  • Assist drivers with loading and unloading cargo trucks, including moving items by hand or using equipment.
  • Transport donations to the Production Department, utilizing elevators if necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Transfer trash to appropriate receptacles.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and directives to ensure safety of personnel and property.
  • Collaborate with Workforce Development and Social Services to provide client services.
  • Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain confidentiality of agency information.
  • Comply with health, safety, fire standards, and regulations (WISHA & OSHA).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
