Job summary

RK Logistics Group in Fremont, CA is seeking a Material Handler to move and process a variety of materials within the warehouse and through the WMS system. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, receive and verify goods, and ensure accurate inventory and documentation for shipments.

The role requires 1–2 years in warehousing, basic computer skills, and attention to detail. You will support safety and quality standards while cross-training on related warehouse functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years Warehouse and Logistics experience.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting packing slips and shipping documents.
• Able to lift/move items up to 50 lbs and operate basic warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Use hand truck, pallet jack and forklift-type equipment to move material within the warehouse.
• Unload inbound customer product and prepare for processing.
• Receive, verify and stock incoming items; conduct cycle counts and inventory checks.
• Process receiving exceptions as needed and maintain accurate records.
• Pack, label and stage orders with proper documentation for shipping.

Description

The function of a Material Handler is to process parts through the organization both physically and through the WMS system of record. Material Handlers handle a variety of materials and products. Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks and loading docks. Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Use hand truck, dollies, pallet jack and other motorized equipment to move material or freight in the warehouse-storage facility
• Unload Customer product as they come inbound
• Load product that is being processed for outbound
• Weigh product and take measurements (DIMS)
• Receive, unpack, check, and verify product to ensure accuracy
• Process Receiving Exceptions as needed
• Use handheld RF tools to receive, pick, stock check and ship product into
• Conduct: stock checks, part number verification, Cycle Counts, support physical inventory
• Pack, re-pack and wrap product for shipping/storage
• Consolidate partial pallets into full pallets for location/inventory consolidation
• Label parts as needed during receipt, put away, picking or shipping process
• Pick parts for: order fulfillment, shipments, scrap request, etc.
• Strap/unstrap or open pallets, boxes or crates as needed
• Stage completed orders or shipments to staging area
• Ensure that orders and shipping material are accompanied with proper delivery documents: Revised BOL, Packing slip, Manual tag, etc.
• Inform lead/supervisor in a timely manner about OSD (overages, shortages & damage) found while picking orders or shipments
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations and guidelines
• Complete paperwork thoroughly and promptly
• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean & safe work environment
• Assist other teams as needed
• Cross-train as needed to learn other warehouse functions
• May perform a variety of tasks related to warehousing
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills Needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1- 2 years Warehouse and Logistics experience.
• Prior Forklift Certification, with 1- 2 years’ forklift/stand-up experience.

• LEAN understanding with ability to fully execute 5S and 7S.
