Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler I in Rock Hill, SC to receive, store, and issue materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will verify stock, use internal systems, and maintain accurate records while adhering to safety policies. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree, and proficiency with MS Excel and Outlook. Candidates should handle lifting up to 50 pounds and work collaboratively with the Logistics Service Center team to support project

Qualifications

• 2+ years of demonstrated experience with a High School Diploma or
• 1+ years with an Associate’s Degree
• Proficiency with electrical design build industry materials and equipment, and Logistics Service Center processes and procedures at M.C. Dean
• Must have demonstrated experience and proficiency with intermediate level MS Excel and Outlook
• Must have excellent reporting and tracking skills, along with a consistent record of accuracy, high productivity, professional work ethic, and safety compliance
• Must demonstrate competency with managing critical tasks individually such as controlling consignment programs, tool management, lay down area, loading/unloading zones and other responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Receiving, verifying, and counting stock items and keeping records
• Verifying inventory counts by comparing to physical stock
• Investigating inventory discrepancies and reconciling errors
• Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves
• Marking stock items using identification tags and labeling equipment
• Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas for safety compliance
• Determining proper storage methods based on stock location and turnover
• Storing stock items in a safe, organized manner across warehouses and storage areas
• Inspecting stock items for wear or defects and reporting damage
• Maintaining records outlining stock usage and stock handling equipment
• Developing knowledge of internal software systems: Material Requisition System, Equipment Transfer System, Procurement Mobile
• Demonstrating understanding of design build electrical industry related to M.C. Dean processes in Logistics Service Center
• Assisting with training and mentoring less experienced staff
• Maintaining high productivity and meeting deadlines
• Using MS Excel reporting and tracking features
• Communicating professionally using MS Outlook
• Providing assistance to other project staff as needed.
