Job summary

ChampionX in Sugar Land, TX is seeking a Material Handler I to support warehouse and production operations. The role involves moving materials, handling shipping/receiving, loading/unloading, and operating forklifts with RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory and safe practices.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of related experience, with forklift certification or willingness to become certified.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of relevant experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
• Ability to operate forklift or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist with material movement throughout warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• Perform shipping and receiving activities for order fulfillment and inventory replenishment.
• Load and unload containerized and bulk materials from transport trucks, including sampling and required approvals.
• Stage drums, totes, and materials for production and shipment.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanning devices to move, track, and store materials.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory control, labeling of goods, and sample management.
• Support quality improvement processes and participate in team-based initiatives.
• Apply spill containment and cleanup procedures when required.
• Ensure vendors and contractors adhere to plant safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Understand KPIs and contribute to team performance goals.
