Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is hiring a Material Handler for our Lynnwood, WA location. The position supports receiving, moving, storing, counting, tracking, issuing, and shipping production parts to meet on-time delivery goals.

First shift runs 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with responsibilities spanning inventory control, material handling, and shipping. The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent and 0–1 year of electronics manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-1 year of electronics manufacturing experience.
  • Access to Controlled Data or Information; US Persons required by ITAR constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory control following work instructions.
  • Move materials to/from receiving, production, and shipping using bins, carts, or equipment.
  • Unpack, receive, and stock materials in storeroom locations.
  • Read work orders to determine material needs for production cells.
  • Issue materials to production cells.
  • Complete cycle counts; escalate variances as needed.
  • Pack and ship materials per contract requirements.

Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, counting, tracking, issuing, and shipping a variety of production parts, materials and supplies. The production floor relies on this position to provide the right parts and materials at the right time in order to meet on-time-delivery goals.

1st shift hours are 7am-3:30pm
Essential Functions:
  • Maintain accurate inventory control by following established work instructions and processes.
  • Move materials to and from receiving, production areas and shipping by hand, using sorting bins and carts, or other equipment
  • Unpack, receive, and stock materials into storeroom location(s)
  • Read work orders to determine material and equipment needs for production cell work
  • Issue critical materials to production cells
  • Complete the cycle count process for Value Stream; Escalate variances in counts, as needed
  • Respond to unplanned issues with internal customers in a timely manner
  • Pack and ship materials in accordance with contract requirements
  • Aid and/or Backfill coworkers, as needed to complete daily tasks
  • Ensure compliance with export compliance rules
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience: 0-1 year of relevant electronics manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge: Warehousing and materials packing knowledge; Familiar with lean principles
  • Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated outstanding manual dexterity; Demonstrated ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks; Demonstrated ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions; Demonstrated ability to understand standard work instructions; Math skills to perform basic calculations; Outstanding verbal communication skills; Proficient with MS Office
  • Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with manufacturing software tools
Working Conditions:
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
  • Standing: 50-75% * _percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task_
