Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Material Handler I for the 3rd shift (Paint). The hourly rate starts at $19.26 plus a 5% shift differential, with hours from 11 PM to 7 AM. The role requires forklift operation, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

On-site in a climate-controlled environment with strong benefits and overtime opportunities. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma and are able to obtain a forklift license.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license.
• No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles of the work location only.

Responsibilities

• Perform work in a manner that supports Eaton’s Quality standards and systems.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper PPE.
• Retrieve parts from storage locations, using a forklift as necessary.
• Set hook arrangements, hang parts in proper configuration, visually check parts for quality, and package accordingly.
• Verify counts and Kanban cards to assure accuracy.
• Perform de-burring and de-greasing operations.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and maintain 5S in the area.
• Work with others in a team-based environment; cross train on load/unload; train new employees.
• Lift up to 40 pounds and stand for entire shift; overtime as needed.
• Maintain guarding and safety equipment in good condition.

What you’ll do:

• Work with various groups of employees in a team-based environment, cross train on load and unload. Train new employees. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand throughout working shift and work overtime as needed.
• Maintain guarding and safety equipment in good working order.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
