Job summary

Chipton-Ross, Inc. is seeking multiple Material Handler I for a contract opportunity in Cleveland, MS. This role performs manufacturing processes, line clearances, documentation, and material verification in a 3rd shift environment with mandatory overtime.

Responsibilities include loading and packing plastic pour bottles, inspecting assemblies, reporting issues, and contributing to Lean and 6S improvements. Requires a HS diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills and computer skills required.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures.
• Able to complete documentation legibly and per procedure.
• Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, SOPs and cGMP.
• Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
• Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing processes for the production of plastic pour bottles.
• Perform and document line clearances.
• Verify correctness of material.
• Load empty gaylords on production line to be filled with plastic pour bottles.
• Pack plastic pour bottles into empty gaylords, cover and ensure proper labeling of product.
• Inspect bottle and gasket assembly.
• Report abnormalities and corrective action to shift leader/supervision.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and Lean exercises.
