Job description

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Material Handler Teams perform physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Responsibilities include unpacking and checking goods against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records, rejecting unsatisfactory items, lifting heavy items, and operating a forklift. They also prepare and maintain shipment records, post weights and shipping charges, and prepare goods for final shipment. Additionally, they examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines, and may prepare kitting packages for assembly production.

It may involve working with technical data, technology, software/source code, hardware, or other items subject to export control laws. TE may need to verify the candidate’s nationality or citizenship to determine licensing requirements. Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct cycle counts of inventory and raw materials for accuracy.
  2. Prepare materials for shop orders and dispense to manufacturing.
  3. Run daily and weekly reports.
  4. Handle and transport fragile items carefully, ensuring proper placement.
  5. Receive incoming materials and record transactions in SAP (ERP).
  6. Ensure accurate transactions in the ERP system.
  7. Replenish store locations daily using manual lift trucks.
  8. Pull finished goods for shipping and support other team members.
  9. Investigate and report material discrepancies.
  10. Pick products for manufacturing, track jobs, and update management systems.
  11. Assist in project tracking across warehouse, manufacturing, quality, and shipping teams.
  12. Perform computer functions related to tracking goods.
  13. Report defective or questionable materials.
  14. Ensure staged work meets manufacturing needs and is organized per schedule.
  15. Communicate with manufacturing leadership to resolve issues and expedite materials.
  16. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Candidate Background:
  • Preferably 2 years of material handling experience.
  • Ability to read/write English, follow instructions, and perform basic math.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems is preferred.
  • Capable of lifting up to 55 lbs.
  • Willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges from $33,100 to $49,600 depending on location and experience. Total compensation includes base salary, incentives, and benefits. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), disability, life insurance, stock purchase plans, paid time off, and voluntary benefits.
