Material Handler
Location: Onsite – Casa Grande, AZ
Competitive Compensation: Starting at $22.00 per hour with shift differential pay increase at .90 cents per hour.
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities

As a Material Handler for Kohler Co., you will load vehicles for shipment and determine loading patterns, keep records of materials loaded and unloaded, take inventories, and assist in the removal of scrap. In this role, you will also safely and responsibly operate a forklift to transport units to and from loading docks. The Material Handler also performs assigned housekeeping & 5S work throughout every shift. You will be an ideal candidate if you are knowledgeable of and continuously use the “buddy lift” method for moving all parts, including but not limited to any awkward lifting circumstances.

Additional Job Duties

1. Visually inspect packaging for damage.
2. Assist in off-loading, as necessary.
3. Pull and stage parts for shipments.
4. Participate in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant.
5. Perform other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor.
6. Maintain training on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Previous experience with a strong work ethic that includes the ability to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts while sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting.
3. The flexibility to change shifts as the plant moves into future phases of production and operability.
4. A positive, adaptable, hard-working, and patient mindset.
5. A willingness to help with activities that may be outside of your job scope.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Have previous experience in a Material Handler or Forklift Driver role.
2. Have previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
3. Have a natural ability to problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.
4. High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
