Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, NC is seeking a Material Handler I to join the first shift. You will manage the movement of materials, including receiving, shipping, storage, picking, delivery, and inventory, while working a 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM shift.

You will operate stand-up reach trucks and forklifts, use RF scanners, and ensure accurate SAP documentation. A 50-lb lifting capability and a solid command of English are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in material management (warehousing).
• 2+ years’ experience driving a forklift, order picker, and stand up.
• Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Basic proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic areas and narrow aisles, unloading and receiving production materials and recording them in SAP.
• Count and verify incoming materials in the storeroom and pick materials for internal and external customers using RF scanners with accuracy.
• Efficiently pack and ship materials damage-free, load outgoing shipments, and ensure proper documentation is provided to drivers.
• Proficient with small hand tools, including battery, electrical, and air-powered tools.
• Adhere to all safety rules, follow established processes and methods, and actively seek improvement opportunities.
• Work independently with strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
