**Position Overview**
The Material Handler may fulfill multiple roles in the Distribution Center environment to help fulfill the overall mission of processing Inbound / Work in Process and/or Outbound freight accurately, timely, and safely.

**Essential Functions**

• Perform functions such as Receiving, Labeling, Put away, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, and critical ship today sure order fulfillment.
• Read incoming tasks via electronic WMS and select correct items from warehouse shelves to avoid errors.
• Count and fulfill orders, complete tasks via electronic WMS.
• Inspect and verify materials for damage.
• Store materials properly with correct organization and labeling.
• Load, inspect, and verify outbound shipments against shipments/bill of ladings.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Resolve discrepancies and research solutions to ensure accuracy.
• Follow instructions and adhere to policies including good housekeeping.
• Maintain safety standards, report unsafe acts, and perform lower classification work if needed.
• Use RF scanner and computer keyboard.
• Lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Perform continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives like 5S.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

**Basic Qualifications:**
High School Diploma or GED; ability to operate material handling equipment; good physical condition; certification of powered industrial equipment; 1 year experience in warehouse/distribution; residence within 50 miles of Indianapolis, IN; authorized to work in the US; flexible to work shifts and overtime.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
Experience with Oracle Warehouse Management System; 3+ years in warehouse/distribution.
