Job Description

Our Quick Coupling Division in Chetek, WI is looking for a Material Handler I to help keep the world moving. In this role, you will support plant operations, including shipping out finished products, receiving component parts, and moving products between work areas.

What Is a Quick Coupling?

Parker's Quick Coupling Division is the largest manufacturer of quick couplings worldwide. A quick coupling provides a fast, make-or-break connection for fluid or gas transfer lines. Our plants supply critical equipment for industries such as Agriculture, Construction, and Fire & Rescue.

Responsibilities
  1. Unload raw stock from incoming trucks.
  2. Handle raw stock, including pulling from and delivering to the raw stock market, breaking bundles, and operating the raw stock saw.
  3. Receive raw materials and products from vendors, troubleshoot receiving issues.
  4. Manage outgoing shipments, including loading trucks, preparing shipping documents, and coordinating transportation.
  5. Ensure proper storage of materials, following FIFO principles.
  6. Pull assembly jobs, conduct cycle counts, and transport materials as needed.
  7. Escalate material issues promptly.
  8. Receive and store finished goods, replenish stock, and prepare components for assembly.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand part numbers.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Good judgment to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to stand for most of the shift.
  • Frequently lift and move light to medium weight materials (1-35 lbs.), occasionally up to 50 lbs.
