Job summary

Magnaflow in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Material Handler to support production by transporting and organizing materials for the manufacturing lines. You will help maintain inventory accuracy and ensure timely delivery of parts to the production areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings, and the ability to lift and move materials. Forklift operation is expected, with safety procedures prioritized.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport materials, parts, and supplies to and from designated areas within the manufacturing facility.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials and supplies, monitor inventory levels, and assist with stock replenishment to prevent shortages or delays in production.
  • Deliver materials to production lines as needed, ensuring production teams have the required materials on time and in the proper quantities.
  • Load and unload materials and finished products from trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage.
  • Organize and store materials in designated storage areas, ensuring that items are stored safely and according to inventory procedures.
  • Inspect materials and supplies for quality before moving them to production areas. Report any defects or discrepancies to the supervisor or quality control team.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for handling materials and operating equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move materials efficiently within the facility.
  • Record and track material movements, maintain proper documentation for inventory control, and report discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
  • Work closely with production teams, supervisors, and warehouse staff to coordinate material needs and resolve any issues that arise during production.

What you will be doing

The Manufacturing Material Handler is responsible for transporting, organizing, and managing materials and supplies used in the production process. This role ensures that production lines have the necessary materials to meet production schedules while maintaining an organized and efficient inventory system. The Material Handler plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations, optimizing material flow, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
