This position works under general supervision and is primarily responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials and finished products within the warehouse, and packing orders to ensure timely, accurate delivery of customer requests.

In This Role You’ll Make An Impact By

• Reading work orders and following oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loading/unloading materials onto or from pallets, tubs, racks, and shelves, and into vehicles; inspecting vehicles for proper shipping conditions.
• Unloading materials from vehicles, inspecting deliveries and shipments for accuracy and damage, and preparing proper documents.
• Locating stock - counting, weighing, and recording units of material moved, handled, or shipped.
• Preparing materials for shipment by palletizing, banding, wrapping, and labeling shipments.
• Picking and packaging finished products per work orders.
• Entering data in SAP, updating records, and filing documents, electronically and manually, and preparing/distributing reports as required.
• Maintaining a clean area by sweeping or mopping.
• Complying with all departmental safety and sanitation requirements.
• Conveying materials to proper storage areas.
• Rotating stock as needed and optimizing space utilization.
• Operating industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Performing preventive maintenance on lifting equipment.
• Maintaining proper temperature for products.

To Succeed You Must Hold

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to operate industrial trucks or electric hoists.
• Basic computer skills for email and data systems.
• Knowledge of GMP, safety, sanitation, and Hazardous Materials per DOT requirements.
• Effective communication skills with drivers, other departments, and co-workers.
• Ability to use a calculator for measurements and conversions, typically acquired through a High School Diploma or GED with related experience.
• Physical ability to stand, handle objects, and perform repetitive bending and lifting (up to 50lbs regularly, up to 100lbs with assistance).
• Ability to work under various conditions, including hot, cool, wet, dusty, and loud environments, with appropriate protective gear.
