Job summary

Henry Schein, Inc. Indianapolis distribution facility seeks a Warehouse Associate to receive, sort and stock medical supplies. The role requires verifying deliveries, rotating stock by expiration, and utilizing RF devices in a fast-paced environment.

On-site position with preference for a high school diploma or equivalent and basic warehousing knowledge. Lifting and operating pallet jacks and hand tools are part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Verifies that items have been received correctly by matching product description, quantity, packaging unit, and expiration date on the putaway document or RF device.
• Breaks down products received into correct selling units and puts products into correct stocking location.
• Notes discrepancies and marks products for review by department team lead or supervisor.
• Ensures items with expiration dates have stock rotated accordingly.
• Must learn to utilize RF technology.
• Causes damaged items are brought to designated damaged area in Inventory Control or spill team contacted.
• Will also be trained in Receiving and Picking.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
• Meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed; comply with policies.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives regarding workplace behavior.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Verifies that items have been received correctly by matching product description, quantity, packaging unit, and expiration date (where applicable) on the putaway document or RF device, with the product received. Breaks down products received into correct selling units and puts products into correct stocking location, as noted on the putaway document or RF device.
• Notes discrepancies and marks products for review by department team lead or supervisor as appropriate
• Ensures items with expiration dates have stock rotated accordingly.
• Must learn to utilize RF technology.
• If products or inventory are damaged, brings to designated damaged area in Inventory Control or calls the spill team as appropriate.
• Will also be trained in various distribution functions such as Receiving and Picking.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

Physical demands refer to the level and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform critical tasks in support of critical job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
