Job summary

Job Title

Material Handler I

Job Description

Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Material Handler I to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate movement, storage, and documentation of materials throughout the facility. Working under established procedures and close supervision, the Material Handler is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods; preparing and staging materials for production; and performing timely and accurate inventory transactions. The role helps maintain efficient material flow by verifying shipments against purchase orders, identifying and reporting discrepancies, and preparing products and components for internal distribution or outbound shipment. Material Handlers also contribute to operational effectiveness by maintaining clean and organized storage areas, following proper packaging and labeling standards, and ensuring adherence to all safety and quality requirements.

Hours and Shift Schedule

Hours for this position are 11pm-7:30am Monday-Friday. We will be shifting to a 3-2-2-3 rotating schedule 6:45pm-7:00am starting on June 22, 2026.

What You'll Do
  • Move raw materials to the appropriate workstations
  • Complete SAP (warehouse management system) transactions
  • Complete specified function of 6S responsibilities; specifically, sort, set in order, shine, sustain, safety
  • Put product away physically into location and in SAP
  • Ability to use Fork Truck and ladders safely and effectively to support daily company and department objectives
  • Supports inventory control in conducting weekly cycle counts, delegated inventory tasks, and adhering to implemented process improvements
  • Kit finished and semi-finished goods to specifications from orders utilizing a combination of packaging materials and instructions with a high degree of accuracy
  • Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and maintain on-time kitting
  • Picks, processes, closes, and stages or delivers orders to work centers
  • Utilizes Reach Truck, Fork Truck and WAV mobile equipment safely and effectively to support daily company and department objectives
  • Performs scheduled issues of requested components/materials, additional parts, reservations, resupply materials, and consolidates and delivers work order materials
  • Miscellaneous tasks assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals
What We Seek
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Some warehousing or related experience preferred
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks, WAVs)
  • Basic computer skills (email, data entry, inventory systems)
  • SAP familiarity a plus
  • Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • Comfortable operating heavy equipment
  • Flexibility to work any shift needed to support business demand
Physical Requirements
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Capable of performing visual inspections and handling materials responsibly while wearing required PPE
  • Regularly lift and/or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Safely work at heights, including climbing ladders or accessing elevated platforms, as required
  • Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
