Job summary

Walker SCM, LLC is seeking a Materials Handler to support warehouse receiving, shipping, inventory control and packing activities. You will work under supervision to ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires knowledge of warehouse operations, forklift experience, and the ability to read, write and comprehend English. A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Summary

The Material Handler is responsible performing all activities relating to warehouse receiving, shipping, inventory control, repacking, housekeeping and all tasks assigned by supervisory personnel pertaining to daily warehousing activities.

Responsibilities

Skills/Qualifications

• Knowledge of warehouse operations
• Forkliftexperience REQUIRED
• High School Diploma, or GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced sequencing environment
• Skilled in multitasking, organizing and prioritizing work

Essential Functions

• Ability to repetitively manually move up to 35 pounds (including, but not limited to pushing, pulling, and lifting below, at, or above waist level and overhead)
• Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe footwear.

Education and Experience

• Warehousing knowledge, preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
