Job summary

Henkel Salisbury, NC is seeking a Material Handler to support receiving, inventory management, material handling, and warehouse operations. You will handle raw materials and finished goods, verify documentation, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, forklift certification, and the ability to read procedures. Competitive hourly pay with benefits and potential overtime are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift certification must be obtained and maintained.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures, work instructions, and safety documents.
• Ability to complete written documentation that is accurate, legible, and easily understood by others.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and unit conversions.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, shipping, inventory control, material handling, and warehouse operations in accordance with established procedures, work instructions, and regulatory requirements.
• Safely operate powered industrial trucks, material handling equipment, dock systems, and warehouse business systems to support inventory transactions, material movements, and documentation activities.
• Prepare, sample, package, label, stage, store, and ship raw materials and finished goods while verifying material identity, quantity, condition, and related documentation.
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards by following SHE policies, OSHA/EPA requirements, GMP guidelines, hazard communication programs, and proper chemical, waste, and flammable material handling procedures.
• Improvement initiatives through participation in training, safety programs, risk assessments, quality activities, and 5S workplace organization practices while promptly reporting unsafe conditions and environmental, health, and safety incidents.
