Job description

Material Handler (Grades 7- 9) - 2nd Shift

Join us as a Material Handler (Grades 7- 9) - 2nd Shift at General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works.

This is a mid-level position with a pay range of $28.88/hr - $32.08/hr. Responsibilities include operating equipment such as forklifts, barcode scanners, and hand tools, receiving and issuing materials, and maintaining accurate inventory in warehouses and facilities.

Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record over the past 5 years.
  • Previous forklift experience with proficiency demonstrated at interview.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with barcode scanners.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including climbing stairs/ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Warehousing experience (>1 year) preferred.
  • Experience with BIW material handling process is a plus.
