Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a General Laborer for a 1st shift position at our Brooklyn facility. The role involves painting, material handling, and shipping/receiving tasks as outlined below

This is a 1st Shift position; starting pay is $23.67per hour.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate overhead cranes (from floor or cab), forklifts, or pallet trucks to lift and move parts, raw materials, machinery, and other items as required.
  • Transport production and contract parts, tooling, and materials, including jigs, fixtures, and molds, following process documentation, paperless information systems, or verbal instructions.
  • Wash and paint parts or assemblies and attach product identification as needed.
  • Perform preparatory tasks, such as unpacking, visual inspection, degreasing, blasting, masking, plugging, and wrapping, to prepare surfaces for spray application per blueprints, operational sketches, specification sheets, and tool lists.
  • Clean, adjust, and fill spray equipment, ensuring proper operation.
  • Complete post-operative tasks, including removing masks, tape, and plugs, and using solvent to clean parts as required.
  • Apply necessary part markings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • At least one year of shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the Danfoss Power Solutions Brooklyn facility; no relocation assistance provided.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience pulling and packing shipping orders.


Position Criteria:

  • Ability to learn process sequences and follow instructions.
  • Proficiency in setting up and operating assigned equipment.
  • Knowledge of all parts and materials in the stockroom after sufficient training.
