Job summary

FedEx is seeking a part-time worker in Indiana to operate equipment for moving packages and heavyweight freight. The role includes pallet build/breakdown, and coordination with an ULD repair vendor as needed. A valid driver’s license and ability to work in a safe, alert manner are required.

Shifts are 10am-5pm or 11pm-5am with respective premiums. The role pays $18.41 per hour plus $2 or $5.50 premium depending on shift.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level and in enclosed spaces.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and climb stairs or ladders if required.
• Must communicate effectively in a noisy operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment for movement of packages/documents/heavyweight freight.
• Assists in buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
