Job summary

MPS Group, Inc. at Mercedes Benz U.S. International facility in Vance, AL is seeking multiple Material Handlers to join the team. These roles ensure safe and efficient removal and handling of industrial material and waste in a manufacturing environment using powered industrial vehicles.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and other equipment, assisting with waste consolidation, documenting inspections, and maintaining safety standards per site policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklift, tuggers, scrubbers), flatbed trucks, including daily inspections and safe operations as trained and certified.
• Assist waste consolidation/chemical conveyance.
• Assist with documenting container inspections and waste pickup.
• Inspect waste storage areas and emergency equipment, taking corrective action to address deficiencies identified during the inspection.
• Adhere to and comply with the site-specific health and safety plan, host facility policy and applicable government health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Use all assigned PPE and follow task instruction sheets.
• Assist and perform 5S spill response.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
