Position Overview

Multilink Inc., a leader in telecommunications and ITS/Traffic solutions based in Elyria, OH, is seeking a Material Handler - Forklift/Tow Motor. This role involves managing internal logistics, handling materials like sheet metal, sub-assemblies, and hardware, and ensuring accurate organization and picking of materials according to customer and product specifications. Prior forklift operation experience is strongly required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain inventory by labeling, identifying, and storing materials; record inventory locations.
  • Verify and locate materials and supplies based on production orders.
  • Deliver and open materials at work centers to maintain in-process inventory.
  • Document inventory movements and locations accurately.
  • Ensure proper packing, labeling, and handling of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Report quality, process, equipment, material, or labor issues to supervisors.
  • Participate in equipment preventative maintenance and learn to operate/assemble other equipment as needed.
  • Read blueprints for specifications and perform in-process inspections.
  • Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials.
  • Maintain an organized work area following 5S procedures.
  • Assist team members and communicate effectively to ensure workflow efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety policies and company procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and blueprint reading skills.
  • Ability to handle various materials with guidance.
  • Safety-conscious attitude and excellent attendance.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform squats, kneels, bends, twists, and reach overhead regularly.
  • Sit, stand, and walk for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening.
Work Environment

Work in environments with temperatures ranging from 55 to 85°F.
