Xcel Energy in Saint Paul, MN is hiring a Material Handler at the St. Paul Service Center. The role involves receiving, unloading, putting away materials, filling orders for field needs, and staging and tracking items.

You will operate forklifts and use various software while maintaining safe, clean work areas. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CDL preferred, forklift certification preferred, SAP experience, and ability to lift 50 pounds and work in outdoor dusty environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred, Class A; or able to obtain within 6 months.
• Forklift operator certified/preferred with experience and computer skills required.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred; knowledge of electric and gas materials preferred.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Able to work at heights up to 30 feet as necessary.
• Will be required to work extended hours and respond to after hour emergencies as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Receive activities, unloading of carrier trucks and receipt of materials (stock & non-stock).
• Put away materials in assigned & random locations; stock materials.
• Fill material orders for field; physically stage and track materials in database.
• Load & unload material delivery trucks and process shipping paperwork.
• Process credits of materials returned from field; maintain clean work areas as necessary.
• Utilize various computer applications and software; operate forklifts safely.
