Job summary

Industrial Metal Supply Co in San Diego area is seeking a Material Handler to pull, pack and wrap metal bar, sheet, plate and tube for will call orders. You will use measuring tools to confirm dimensions and work in a safety‑driven environment.

The role includes a detailed 7‑week onboarding program, training on our warehouse software, and daily tasks in a fast‑paced setting with forklift operation and up to 50 lb lifts. Commitment to quality and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years and older.
• Experience of 6 months to 1 year in material handling preferred in a metal manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety is the company’s number one priority.
• 7-week onboarding training program with hands-on experience in all departments and shifts.
• Learn to use our business software to pull inventory and process orders.
• Attention to detail to ensure material quality for customers.
• Pull, pack and wrap material while adhering to the Quality System; verify dimensions with measuring tools.
• Move material with a forklift and lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Follow PPE and safety training; maintain clean and organized work area; report hazards.
