Job summary

J&L Building Materials in Avondale, PA is seeking enthusiastic candidates for a Material Handler role at our local branch. You will support customer service on site, prepare loads for delivery, and help maintain safe, efficient warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, warehouse experience, the ability to lift 100 pounds, and a keen eye for detail. Training will cover safety standards and proper inventory procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Ability to lift 100 pounds
• One year related warehouse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer satisfaction and service
• Fill requests for materials from invoices and pick slips by assembling orders and loading into vehicles
• Operate forklift and perform pre-operational checks
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins according to size, type, or product code
• Complete paperwork accurately and promptly
• Maintain safe and efficient warehouse operations following safety requirements
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts
• Adhere to corporate policies and procedures
• Be on time for 40 hours/week and available for Saturday shifts after training
• Perform other duties as assigned
