Job summary

Arnold Lumber Company in West Kingston, RI is seeking a Material Handler to accurately pick and stage lumber, masonry, and building materials for customer orders and deliveries.

You will provide excellent customer service in the yard and warehouse, safely load and unload trucks, maintain a clean, organized environment, and support inventory and transfers while reporting discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED; Forklift Certified.
• Experience: Operating machinery and knowledge of building materials.
• Skills: Lift 80lbs, above head.
• Bonus Points: Construction or home improvement industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick and stage lumber, masonry, and building materials for customer orders and deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service in yard and warehouse; support customers' needs.
• Safely load and unload trucks; maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment with proper signage and housekeeping.
• Support inventory and transfers; pull and stage products, process paperwork, report discrepancies.
• Follow safety protocols, complete forklift inspections, maintain certifications, and adhere to OSHA rules.
