Job summary

NOV Grand Bay, AL is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to receive material and shipments, verify quantities, and maintain organized warehouse areas. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long hours, and following all safety and quality policies. Forklift experience is preferred, with certification available through NOV's HSE program.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Shipping, Receiving, and/ or Inventory experience.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Three years of verifiable work history preferred.
• Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification through NOV's HSE approved forklift certification course.
• Ability to work overtime and shift work as required.
• Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations.
• Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, and Push/Pull for 10-12 hours daily.
• Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.

Responsibilities

• Receive in material and supply shipments.
• Verify received quantities and receive in system.
• Clean, organize and maintain warehouse and storage areas.
• Perform regular inspections on warehouse equipment.
• Count inventory quantities and report re-order points for supplies.
• Utilize safe work habits and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate Supervisor.
• Wear appropriate PPE when in required areas.
• Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
