Job summary

LACOSTA Facility Support Services in Owensboro, KY is seeking a forklift operator to support safe material handling and accurate order fulfillment on a 4-on, 4-off day shift from 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

You will load and unload materials, pull and pack orders, maintain organized inventory, document shipments, and operate forklifts and pallet jacks while following safety rules and PPE requirements. Ongoing training and a strong team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Pass background check and drug screening.
• Physical requirements: walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting 50lbs or more.
• Minimum one year of previous forklift experience.
• Wear safety glasses, hard hat, Hi-vis safety vest, steel-toed or composite toed shoes, long pants while working.
• Remove all jewelry and accessories.

Responsibilities

• Ensures orderly production and distribution of products.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
• Locates and packs materials for shipping.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, loading, and securing product.
• Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Safely operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move products.
• Keeps inventory, loading area and machinery clean.
• Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
