Work Location & Shifts: 970 Route 11, Kirkwood, NY 13795 | 1ST shift starting at 6:00 AM

Pay: The hourly pay rate for this position is $20.00 + benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to Kirkwood and may not be applicable to other locations.

What makes a successful team member:

Overview

Operates forklift to restock production line(s) with slabs, glass and other components as needed. Pulls specials slabs and transports material to and from designated areas as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Position will require appropriate certification to operate equipment
  • Operate forklift to load and/or move materials
  • Supply production areas with needed materials from inventory
  • Perform safety checks on lift truck
  • Supports the manufacturing process through inspection and aid to machine operators
  • Coordinates and requests material transfers
  • Inspect doors and make minor repairs
  • Route doors through manufacturing
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, bending, twisting, stooping, excellent dexterity, must work at a fast pace
  • Standing for long continuous hours
  • Constant attention to detail and accuracy of material placement
  • Concentration on proper lifting and ensure floors are kept free of debris
  • Regular attendance and timeliness
  • Follow all operational and safety SOP’s as written

Qualifications

  • Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 or more years of forklift experience
