Job summary

LACOSTA Facility Support Services in Rockford, IL is seeking an experienced forklift driver and warehouse team member for 1st and 2nd shifts. The role requires maintaining orderly production and storage areas and operating forklifts and related equipment.

You will work Monday to Friday with some weekends, earning $20 per hour, paid weekly, and benefits including health and vision insurance, 401K, 401K matching, and paid time off. This is a full-time position with PPE and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of forklift operation experience.
• Previous warehouse experience required.
• Ability to read and analyze information and multitask.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orderly production and warehouse areas by removing cardboard, pallets and recycling.
• Maintain storage area by assembling totes and keeping equipment clean.
• Operate forklifts, cardboard compactor, auger and other machinery.
• Keep inventory and loading areas tidy; follow safety regulations.

Job Skills / Requirements

LACOSTA is looking for an experienced forklift driver, warehouse team member for our site in Rockford, IL.

Job Schedule: Monday - Friday, some Weekends

• 1st Shift: 6:00AM-2:30PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM -11:30 PM

Pay Rate: Paid weekly (every Friday!)

• $20.00/hr

Requirements:

• Ensures orderly production and warehouse areas by removing cardboard, pallets, and handling the recycling.
• Contributes to orderly operation of materials storage area by assembling totes.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
• Operates forklifts, cardboard compactor, auger, and other machinery.
• Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
• Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of THREE years of previous forklift operation
• Must have previous warehouse experience
• Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position
• Organizational Skills
• Ability to read and analyze information
• Adept to handling multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting deadlines
• Ability to lift heavy materials

Essential Functions:

• Ability to wear required PPE (Hi-Vis Safety Vest, Safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes) for entire 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to constantly switch from standing/sitting.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Additional Information

• Pass background checks and drug screening
• Physical requirements: walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting 40lbs independently.
• Wear LACOSTA Shirt, safety glasses, steel-toed boots/shoes, safety vest and long pants.
• Remove all jewelry and accessories
