Material Handler - Packaging and Shipping - 3rd Shift $21.00

Forte is seeking dedicated production and manufacturing workers committed to safety, quality, customer service, and contributing to a positive team environment.

Your responsibilities include operating a forklift safely and efficiently, moving materials around the plant, and ensuring materials are correctly placed to optimize productivity.

What You Will Do

• Operate forklifts to lift, pull, and push materials, navigating throughout the plant and storage areas.
• Perform safety procedures, including wearing and securing harnesses.
• Read and interpret schedules and tickets.
• Use measuring tapes accurately, up to 16th inch.
• Work at elevated heights up to 20 ft.
• Locate and move stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality issues.
• Transport raw materials to production stations.
• Inspect machinery and perform regular maintenance for safety.
• Follow company policies and legal guidelines.
• Maintain a safe and orderly facility environment.

Qualifications

Physical requirements include depth perception, climbing on/off lifts, exposure to uneven pavement, manual lifting of up to 50 lbs., and maneuvering in tight spaces.

• Proven forklift operation experience.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Valid forklift certification preferred.
• At least one year of similar manufacturing experience preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening.
