Job summary

Nox Metals in Detroit, MI seeks a safety‑minded Material Handler for day shift to move aluminum plate, bar, and rounds using a forklift and to grow into bandsaw and metals operations over time.

You will follow OSHA protocols, load/unload shipments, verify inbound material, and log movements in our software. This role is full‑time, in person at Detroit, with on‑the‑job training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• OSHA safety standards knowledge or willingness to complete training.
• Experience operating a forklift or quick learner to get certified.
• High attention to detail on every load and shipment.
• Comfortable with software and able to track material movements digitally.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a full shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA and site safety protocols without exception.
• Operate a forklift to receive, stage, and move aluminum products.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Receive inbound material and verify against purchase orders.
• Package, label, and stage outbound shipments.
• Keep the floor clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Record material movements in software systems.
• Ask questions and clarify any uncertainties.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Learn baseline operations of bandsaw and metals equipment over time.
