Job summary

General Dynamics - Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Saco, ME is seeking a Material Handler #2 to coordinate and move all types of material throughout the plant. You may operate vehicles to push, pull, lift, stack or move product and maintain stockroom inventory.

This full-time, on-site role pays $30.21 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, access to a 401(k) plan, and eligibility for the Gain Sharing program.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Employee must be able to lift 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Basic computer skills and data entry may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and move materials within the plant using appropriate equipment.
• Operate gasoline, LP or electric powered industrial trucks as needed.
• Assist with local pick-up and delivery of materials when required.
• Package products for shipment and label containers with weights and shipping info.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by updating electronic records and conducting cycle counts.
