Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, a leading coil coating company in the United States, is seeking a dedicated warehouse/forklift operator. You will handle forklift and overhead crane operations, prepare and package finished coils, verify IDs and quality, and maintain a safe, organized work area.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to read and follow safety manuals, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy manuals and safety instructions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to operate forklift and overhead cranes; use power hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift and overhead crane safely.
• Prepares materials for packaging and shipping of finished coils.
• Packages coils and moves them to designated storage.
• Verifies finished goods are properly identified with tickets before storage.
• Verifies that finished goods are not damaged or non-conforming.
• Communicates with staff to resolve issues and achieve goals.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws.
