Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Material Handler for the 1st shift at the Oakleys Court site in Richmond, VA. The role involves moving, storing, and shipping materials using forklift and power equipment, with potential crane assistance and related documentation responsibilities.

The position requires safety-minded individuals who can lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and maintain 5S housekeeping.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Operate forklift or power equipment to move and store materials.
Transport items from staging areas to storage or shipping areas.
Operate an overhead crane or hoist to move material where needed.
Complete shipping/receiving documentation and communicate with internal customers.
Maintain 5S in the work area and keep areas neat and orderly.
Unload trucks and verify freight against packing lists.
Drive box truck as needed for deliveries up to 2–3 hours daily.
