Description

• Meets safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards.
• Interacts with other departments to achieve company’s core strategies.
• Under general supervision moves product to accommodate production.
• Performs all duties required to be a Material Handler.

Responsibilities:

• Reads and understands Job Tickets and layouts to produce correct, high-quality products.
• Executes plan schedule accurately to maximize throughput.
• Coordinates workflow with all Associates.
• Maintains performance metrics at or above average.
• Completes documentation accurately and promptly.
• Operates material handling equipment safely.
• Assists in equipment maintenance and adjustments.
• Enters information into Fort Dearborn systems for tracking and payroll.
• Disposes of waste materials properly, marking containers with documentation.
• Follows safety policies and regulations (GMP, HAACP, BRC).
• Behaves professionally and respectfully, upholding company ethics.
• Maintains daily housekeeping.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs unassisted.
• Knowledge of Inventory Control and shipping/receiving is a plus.
