Position Details

• Title: Material Handler
• Department: Production Operations
• Location: Winterset, IA
• Status: Full Time
• Shifts: First Shift (6 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday-Thursday), 4-10 shift, OT as required

Primary Purpose

The Material Handler supports production and shipping & receiving functions by moving materials, prepping and staging products, organizing inventory, conducting cycle counts, and performing local pickups and deliveries with company vehicles.

Responsibilities

1. Transport materials between work areas to support production.
2. Reduce downtime by checking parts availability and restocking needs.
3. Ensure inventory is correctly labeled and stored, supporting organizational initiatives.
4. Coordinate with the Fulfillment Manager on labeling and storage.
5. Handle pickups and deliveries using company trucks and trailers.
6. Assist with cycle counts and build pallets and skids.
7. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
8. Work closely with production supervisors and support shipping and receiving as needed.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience

• Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least 1 year of experience.
• Ability to read safety procedures, manuals, and instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance, and work safely with PPE.
• Comfortable driving trucks, CDL is a plus.

Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 lbs throughout the day.

Work Environment

Manufacturing setting with exposure to temperature changes, mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises. Must uphold safety and core values, be organized, and work under deadlines.
