Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Material Handler (Temp) to join our Material Management Team based in Columbus, MS. In support of Warehouse Operations, our team members support everything from receiving to packing and shipping of materials. The warehouse is at the core of our operations, ensuring that Team Airbus members and our customers get the materials they need to be successful.

The Procurement team's mission is to acquire indirect goods and services for Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, playing a major role in generating value and contributing to the overall competitiveness of the company. Our team members ensure on-time delivery and quality of equipment and systems, drawing on their expertise in Industrial, Operations & Quality Management, and strong relationship building skills to problem-solve and proactively mitigate supply chain issues.

Your working environment:

Located in Columbus, MS, home to Airbus Helicopters manufacturing and assembly lines, and the North America Center of Excellence. We produce UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army and H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Your challenges:

• Receive vendor purchase orders and verify carton counts against Airway Bill or Bill of Lading.
• Pick delivery notes using handheld scanners according to warehouse procedures.
• Stock parts with scanners following procedures.
• Pack shipments physically and systematically in SAP, prioritizing orders.

Your Boarding Pass:

• At least 3 years of warehousing experience.
• Experience with SAP is desirable but not required.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Onsite work, ability to see, hear, speak, operate equipment, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, push/pull, sit, squat, kneel, stand, walk, and wear PPE as required.
