Job description

Job Title: Material Handler

Be part of a team whose main goal is to package bulk products into containers for delivery to customers, following SOPs and cGMP guidelines. The material handler is responsible for ensuring the quality of the product they produce.

Qualifications:
  1. Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  2. Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
  3. Proficiency in basic math.
  4. At least one year of machine operation experience; prior experience in a pharmaceutical/nutraceutical environment preferred, with familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment procedures. Proven knowledge of high-speed manufacturing equipment is a plus.
  5. High School Diploma or equivalent; or one-year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Set up and operate the packaging line efficiently, following all SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
  2. Follow all PPE guidelines.
  3. Perform filling, weighing, securing, labeling, and packaging of containers according to company and customer specifications, adhering to SOPs and cGMPs.
  4. Collaborate with Line Lead and QC to ensure proper fill weights meet customer specifications.
  5. Maintain a positive working environment within the packaging line and department.
  6. Identify deficiencies or issues that could impede the packaging process and assist in resolving them.
  7. Keep the working area clean and organized.
  8. Work efficiently to meet production goals.
  9. Perform operational tasks and equipment maintenance as directed by supervisors.
  10. Assist with preventive maintenance and operational tasks as needed.
  11. Follow safety best practices, including MSDS instructions and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  12. Report safety or compliance issues immediately.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Software:
  • Manual and electric pallet jacks.
Physical Requirements:
  • Stand for 8-10 hours daily.
  • Lifting capacity of 30-50 lbs routinely.
