Job description

We are currently looking for a Material Handler to join our VALUES-based organization. In this role, you will focus on:

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Unload common carrier trucks and railroad cars and replenish product in the designated warehouse locations.
• Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely filled.
• Report issues such as shortages or damaged materials.
• Consult with the sales team when orders cannot be shipped as specified and make necessary adjustments.
• Use handheld scanners for receiving products, picking orders, loading trucks, and cycle counting per Warehouse Management System (WMS) procedures.
• Coordinate with the WMS Coordinator for questions and updates.
• Band, wrap, and prepare materials for safe shipping.
• Arrange orders on trucks considering safe weight distribution.
• Follow safety procedures and policies during warehouse duties.

Performance of Miscellaneous Functions

• Fulfill orders for incoming customers.
• Perform routine warehouse and yard maintenance.
• Inspect forklifts daily to prevent equipment issues, in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Cross-train and serve as backup for warehouse team members.
