Job summary

MORGAN OLSON LLC is seeking a Material Handler to locate and move materials to fabrication or assembly areas, ensuring uninterrupted production. You will read work orders and BOMs to determine what to move and where, using hand trucks, tugs, carts, and forklifts.

You will open containers, load/unload materials, verify accuracy, and report discrepancies. Requirements include a high school diploma, 1 year of material handling experience, ability to read blueprints, basic computer skills, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of material handling experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of material and work orders.
• Must possess a high degree of accuracy and sense of urgency.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• May require forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Locate and deliver materials to fabrication/assembly areas to avoid production disruption.
• Read and interpret work orders, BOMs, or oral instructions to identify materials to move.
• Transport materials using hand trucks, electric tugs, carts, forklifts.
• Open containers using tools such as steel cutters, crowbar, or hammer.
• Load and unload materials onto pallets and shelves.
• Verify materials loaded and delivered are correct.
• Report material discrepancies and shortages.
• Operate gas or electric-powered industrial trucks with lifting devices.
• Support PPS team efforts.
• Adhere to quality policy and safety policies 100% of the time.
• Handle hazardous waste properly.
• Other duties as required.
