Job summary

Southern Fabricators, Inc. is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support production by moving, organizing, and delivering materials throughout the facility.

This full-time role requires operating forklifts and cranes, verifying materials, and keeping work centers supplied to sustain efficient production. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborating with Production, Shipping, Receiving, and Quality teams to ensure accurate material flow.

Qualifications

• Previous material handling, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required; ability to complete forklift training and certification.
• Overhead crane experience is a plus; willingness to complete crane training.
• Ability to safely handle and move materials in an active manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read basic work orders, part numbers, labels, and material identification information.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure materials are delivered to the correct location.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow procedures.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely move raw materials, parts, components, and finished products throughout the facility.
• Deliver materials to production work centers based on production needs and schedules.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize materials in designated storage areas.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with organizing inventory and maintaining clean storage areas.
• Verify materials, quantities, part numbers, and locations before moving.
